{"id":319,"date":"2025-05-23T10:10:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-23T07:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chemtech.gr\/?p=319"},"modified":"2025-05-23T10:14:52","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T07:14:52","slug":"neos-kanonismos-gia-kallyntika-sept-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chemtech.gr\/en\/2025\/05\/23\/neos-kanonismos-gia-kallyntika-sept-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"New Regulation on Cosmetics: What Changes from 1 September 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 13 May 2025 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX:32025R0877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regulation (EU) 2025\/877 was published<\/a><\/strong>, by which the European Commission <strong>is amending Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223\/2009<\/strong> in regard to the use of substances classified as <strong>carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMR)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The changes result from the most recent update of the classification of substances in the <strong>CLP Regulation (EU) 1272\/2008<\/strong>, via the <strong>Regulation (EU) 2024\/197<\/strong>, and will <strong>enter into force on 1 September 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What changes :<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Addition of <strong>21 new substances<\/strong> to <strong>Annex II<\/strong> (prohibited substances) of the Cosmetics Regulation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The use of<\/strong> the substance <strong>Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide (TPO)<\/strong>is prohibited. This substance acts as a photoinitiator in <strong>professional nail care products<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementing <strong>corrections and updates<\/strong> the names and CAS numbers of existing banned substances, for legal clarity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These substances <strong>cannot be used in professional products either<\/strong>, in any concentration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4
